Description: Pinnacle at the entrance to Bridger Canyon known as Maiden Rock. The pinnacle was blasted down by road crews in 1976. Two men standing between the rocks. The rock is named Maiden Rock because before 1806 and Lewis and Clark, there was a Spirit Maiden standing on the rock and she spoke to the Sioux and Nez Perce who were fighting each other. Vintage 6x8 in. print, 4x5 in. copy neg.
