Description: George Spencer Watkins (1837-1931) was born in Jessamine County, Kentucky. While still an infant, his parents moved to Clay County, Missouri where he spent his boyhood on his father's farm. In the spring of 1864, George moved to Montana and established a ranch on Jordan Creek near the head of Madison Lake. He later owned thousands of acres of land and his cattle herd ran into hundreds of head, Kansas City, Missouri. Vintage 4.5x6.6 in. print.
