Description: Jeanette Rankin (1880-1973), born and raised near Missoula, MT. She was the first woman to be elected to Congress, to the House of Representatives in 1917. She voted NO to World War I in 1917 and also to World War II in 1941, as she was re-elected to Congress from 1941 to 1943. She was the founding vice-president of the American Civil Liberties Union and was the field secretary for the Women Suffrage movement. Vintage 4.5x6.5 in. print; copy neg.

In 1886, he guided Teddy Roosevelt through the Gallatin Canyon on a hunting expedition. Vintage print 10x8 in.
